Dr. Galano recently attended the Hip Preservation Society meeting in Madrid, Spain, where he lectured on rehabilitation after hip arthroscopy. His team won the research award for physiotherapy for a study describing a new physical exam tool for athletes with groin pain.

New York Rugby Sevens Tournament

Doctor Galano recently participated as head physician at the New York Rugby Sevens Tournament. It was played on Randall’s Island in New York City and has existed since 1959, making it the world’s longest running rugby sevens tournament. It included over 130 teams from around the world. Doctor Galano has published research on rugby sevens injuries and rugby sevens will be included in the next summer Olympics.
